They should bring the food to them but the plumpy nut is actually a good source of food

Plumpy'nut is made of peanut butter, powdered milk and powdered sugar, enriched with vitamins and minerals. It doesn't need to be refrigerated, mixed with water or cooked.

it has good nutrition and the person or baby would not get malnorished or something of that sort
copus- Who distributes Plumpy nut? Where is it currently being distributed?

I imagine the demand outpaces the supply. Who produces Plumpy Nut? Is it being produced in Africa or is it being produced in other countries as well? Who pays for it?
copus - Did I hear correctly that a malnurished child can be at normal body weight within three weeks after starting a diet of Plumpy Nut?

cause i seen that it is 12 eros all across the ocean and it is 35 dollars for it in the US
copus - Did you get a chance to visit the Doctors without Borders or the NYT or any other additional links on the topic?

The plumpy nut thing is actually a good source of things for people or children to eat and they should ship them to people who are malnorished.
copus - This is what I found on the Doctors without Borders site:

Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) estimates that only 3 percent of the 20 million children suffering from severe acute malnutrition receive the lifesaving treatment they need. MSF treated more than 150,000 children in 2006 and 2007 in 22 countries with nutrient-rich therapeutic and supplementary food.

That is horrible! Only 3% receive treatment. The problem of malnutrition almost seems too difficult a challenge to deal with.

I'm so glad "60 Minutes" did a segment on Plumpy Nut. Hopefully more will be done to get this life-saving food to more children who need it.

I know I've told MANY people about the "60 Minutes" segment and I put a link on facebook. I plan to send some money to Doctors without Borders as well.

I've read and watched the video about the plumpy nut that it is made of peanut butter which is poultry/meat by product and it has flour and powdered sugar in it as well.
copus - Your research and comments on this topic satisfies a project requirement.

I'm really glad you spent so much time looking into this issue. I hope you share what you learned with others.
